Loads of scrummy new stash

So as promised here's some piccy's of my lovely stash that I bought on my trip to CTM this last week. The selection of buttons is just a few of the hundreds that I got but there were just too many to lay out over the papers. I also got a beautiful new scrap album you can just see the corner of it at the top left of the photo I have a matching one already in alovely creamy yellow.

This is the most wonderful scrappers bag that my friend Alison twisted my arm into buying, she didn't have to twist very far. it's such a lovely bag with loads of big pockets inside to keep everything nice and organised. I Y it!!!!!

No time for crafting.....sob...sob

So I haven't had time for any crafting over the last few day's. Tuesday I made the journey up to Suffolk to stay with my Sister and her family for a few days. So no time spent scrapping I didn't even pick up a gel pen :(

Today I visited with my bestest friend Alison and gave her beautiful cockers a quick haircut and then microchipped her new litter of puppies. I did also manage to unpack her BIA and have a go at binding my Scrap your 25th Day book. I'm pleased with my first effort at using it and am hoping to spend some time tomorrow evening at the CTM weekly crop doing something with the cover.

I am really looking forward to having a good wander around CTM and then off to my other favorite shop "Scampers" for a little dog retail I'd like to get the gang new collars and i need a new lead as i'm am somehow down to just four leads which can cause problems when all five have to walk on the lead.

I had plans o Friday to drive on to northampton to visit my cousin, her new baby charlie and my God-daughter Honer-Mae, but unfortunatley Charlie had to go into hospital today and won't be at home for me to visit. So i'll try and go and see himsometime in the summer hopefully.

Scrap your day finished May's LO

So I must have just been scrapping all day???
Well no not quite, I managed to get some Pampering done for the beautiful Harvey, he came over this morning for a wash and trim just in time for his upcoming birthday (he's a cocker spaniel from one of my litters last year).

I have however managed to finish putting all the basics on my "Scrap Your Day" book.
Oh and I completed this months LO. I based mine mainly on Shimelle's May prompt, but because my book is not as long as the plan I had to make a few changes here and there. I took so many photos yesterday I thought I would use a layering effect to get in as many as could. Tucked away underneath Molly's photo is a piccy of my baby girl Gracie who is just 6 weeks pregnant with her last litter, and I added 5 paw prints to represent our five Cocker's. Then I just made a few notes on the things we did during the day.
I hoping that the wonderful Alison will allow me to use her Bind It All when i go and see her this week. I'm sure she will after all it's for a very good cause ;)

My 25th of the month

I have joined a forum on-line called UkScrapers where you can take part in scrapping challenges. The one I'm taking part in at the moment is a "scrap your day" this is a year long challenge. On the 25th of each month you should take photos of everything you do in that day and then complete a scrapbook page for that day, at the end of the year we should all have a nice little book documenting a year in our life. I really enjoyed doing this yesterday although I did get some strange looks from the other diners and staff at the resturant where we went for dinner when I was snapping away at my curry;)

So here is my 25th of the month:

Time to get up! the doglets want out!!!!
First things first......... I need at least two of these in the morning before I am human.
The view from our Bedroom window. taken at about 8am.
Gracie's tummy at almost 6 weeks pregnant
I know looks like a normal tummy but she is getting a little tubby I promise.
My Lunch....... mmmmmmmmmmm... toasted ham & pickle sandwiches.

A very blurred walk in the forest! Diggory was on a mission today and needed to get around the forest at full pace, he wasn't too happy about having to stay ont he lead and the girls were allowed to run. but he has been so norty lately i can't risk letting him off in case he disapears and takes the babies with him.

A little bit of stash shopping at the craft shop. My LO of the day, themed for the 1920's for our "Murder at Dinner" party we went to on New Years Eve. I scraplifted this sketch from "Little Book of Sketches"
Ready for a night out.
Ryde seafront. 7.30 pm

My Curry..... it tasted 100% better than it looks ;)
I'm Shattered it's time for bed.

So that was my day.

Now today I need to get this little lot and more printed off ready to put in my nice new scrap book.

Getting excited about tomorrow. It's Scrap your day!

Tomorrow is Scrap your Day!!!
I'm really looking forward to joining in this challenge. I have my spare batteries charged and I am ready to start snapping from the minute I wake up. I have downloaded all the Prompts and LO plan courtesy of shimelle printed them off and read them through and then read them all again. I'm off to see my scrapping friend on Wednesday and she has a Bind it All so I'm hoping to make my album then and get all my pages covered and ready for the 25th of each month.........

My friends dogs

I made this mini book (taken from a copy of Scrapbook Inspirations) for a lovely friend of mine last week and have been waiting to post piccy's of it for day's. Because the postal service is pretty rubbish at the moment somehow it took five day's to get to her. I didn't want to post the piccy's until she go the book because it would have spoilt the surprise. It arrived today!!
I used photos taken from my friends facebook album so she was totally unaware what her pressie would be until she opened her parcel this morning. I love these doglet based papers I really must get some more as having five dogs most of my LO's could do with few paw prints here and there, and the totally fab ribbon was found in a little craft shop in Bury St Edmunds.

and there's a couple of little lucky LB's hiding amongst the Prima Flowers

Jazzing up my note book

I keep looking at my boring work note book and thinking some thing needed doing about how "blar" it looked. So this afternon I packed it away in my hand bag and brought it home with me. This is my first attempt at something like this as I normally stick to Card making or Scrapping. The papers are from a kit I bought at Tesco with Bazzill cardstock. The ladybirds I found last year at our local garden centre "The Busy Bee" and I made the tag and lettering using my BigShot and added a few Prima flowers and a jewelled brad.
I stitched around the pocket on the outer cover and again around the cardstock of the main cover. Adding a few stitched on button (just because).

Well it's about time........

I thought I really should get around to scrapping my photos from Christmas day. we had a lovely day spend with friends and their family. This was made extra special as it was baby Ruby's first Christmas. We all met on the beach in the morning for a walk along the beach with all eight dogs, and then gathered again at the restaurant for a wonderful Italian meal. Hence the title " Jingle bells and Pasta" We all made a real effort with our outfits and really dressed up smartly. when Trav and I arrived at the restaurant everyone else there was dressed very casually..... we felt a little silly until the rest of our group arrived all dressed in their toff togs.
I tried a little doodling again on this LO and quite enjoyed myself, writing little snippets about the day, silly things about Sam and Trav pretending to pose for a Burton's Catalog and how we listened to Brat Pack Christmas crooning while we munched on pasta and parma ham. I double layered my ribbons and used some lovely little hearts that I had at the bottom of my button box. I bought my papers ages ago at CTM and matched them up with some Bazzil card stock. Even less housework today than yesterday

I've been working on some recent and older photos today. I still have to complete a Christmas LO that I have started, but am waiting for lettering to dry before I can complete it. I did complete another double layout from Tanya and Ian's trip over here. This one is the morning of their first day here we went over to Ventnor and walked along the coastal path to SteepHill Cove, a beautiful little spot on the south side of the island.
The title is the Fabulous 50's font. I printed it our using WordArt and just trimmed around it. I'm pleased with the colour match it was just a good guess I thought I would have to print it out a few times to get a good match but I got it first time. This is my first attempt at doodling on LO. I have never been brave enough to do it before and I'm not too sure with the result. It's ok but I think I could do with some practice.

We took about 100 photos between us on this walk, so it was hard to find just 8 that I wanted to use, there were so many nice one's I wanted to get in but just not enough space. The photos of Ian and I both taking photos were taken at the same time, Trav took the photos of the daisy's I think they looked so nice they had to get in there and then I choose some of the group shots of the day, we ate lunch at the spyglass inn so this was my final addition.

Inspiration for LO taken from Little Book of Sketches thank you :)

second LO of the day..... not much housework getting done!

For my second layout today I went back to last year when Trav and I visited Quarr Abby and Binstead beach for the first time. Looking back I remember we had been to Cowes earlier in the day I remember this as it was the day I bought my "Dr Bean Bucket bag" one of my favourite handbags ;)
So back to the LO. I used a new font for my handwriting trick today and it's one I like it's quite small and loopy so it took a little longer to trace over but I'm very happy with the end result. Now i really am running out of Prima Flowers........ well green ones anyway ;) it's a good job I'm off to see Alison in a couple of weeks, a trip to CTM is on the cards.

I used the same method for my handwriting as i did for the ladybird tag, it's from a wingdings font and I just printed it in light grey and then coloured over it in a gel pen. I'm surprised at how much like a stamp it looks. Page.1 Page.2

Well you don't have to look for this one I kinda gave the game away ;)

A ferry trip to Cowes......... Shopping and Beer something for us all.

I'm still wading through the hundreds of photos that we took while Tanya and Ian came to the Island to see us. Today I did a double layout from the Monday of their visit. When we drove over to East Cowes and took the chain link ferry across the Medina to Cowes. I love this grubby little ferry;) it's full of art work and box frames made up by the students of Cowes schools. It was one of the first places Trav and I visited together after I moved to the Island and it has a special place in my heart. It Takes just a few minutes to get across the river and by the time you have sat down you're getting up to get off, but I prefer to park the car on the East Cowes side of the river and take the ferry rather than just driving to Cowes, as it makes me happy
(well they say, little things please little minds).

I have entitled my LO Shopping & Beer....... purely because that's how I remember the day ;)

Tanya bought a new handbag (I didn't and I know that makes a real change but I controlled myself for once) we went in every shop along the main road.Tanya spend ages siffing through pebbles on the beach to find some pretty ones to take back for her daughters so they had a little bit of the Island (neither of them have been over here yet). Then we stopped off for a beer before we tackled the hill back up to the car.

I used two different ladybirds in this layout.
